I began to turn to the many self help personal development books around and discovered a whole new way of looking at the world. This "popular psychology" which I had previously dismissed as being a bit airy fairy actually proved to be very helpful in my healing journey. I discovered a psycho-spiritual teaching called 'A Course in Miracles' which both affirmed my worthiness and helped me 'forgive' or let go of many of the painful feelings around childlessnes.
I now remain open to all spiritual paths and ways of being...what is right for one may not be right for another.
In a way it comes down to this: our mission in life is to love ourselves, love others and get excited! I believe we all have unique gifts to offer the world...it is important to follow our hearts and live this one life as fully and as happily as possible. Happiness, it turns out, is far from a selfish pursuit but rather is our gift to the world. And yet, many of us are not happy and need to be healed from our painful situations. Be assured our pain is temporary (though it does not always feel that way); happiness is our natural state and is our right. Isn't it funny that when we are depressed we think it will last forever, but when we are happy we say 'this will never last, something is bound to go wrong soon".
In my spare time you will find me at the local gym or swimming pool, in the park enjoying the nature; watching a soccer match on TV or just relaxing at home with my wife. I live in London, together with my wife and I am 46 years old.
